PRESS RELEASE made by QUEEN CHINYERE WILLIAMS – FACE OF INDEPENDENCE NIGERIA -INT’L QUEEN ON 8th March in Celebration of INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY
Today is a good day to be alive and indeed a wonderful day for all women around the world. I Queen Chinyere Abigal Willaims -foingeria-Intl …. use this medium to join my fellow women across the globe in celebrating the International Women’s Day, against all odds women have continue to contribute to the greater good of humanity and these feet won’t have been possible if not for brave and strong women of New York where the first Women’s Day was held in 1909 and also the Soviet Women of Russia in 1917. The IWD 2018 focuses on Rural and urban activists transforming women’s lives, and to this effect i want to call on all great women home and abroad to join hands in the fight of making sure every women lives are transformed. I will also like to call on every woman activists in Nigeria and the world at large to make sure that the Nigerian government does everything possible for the safe return of the recent women and girls kidnap by the terrorist sect boko haram in Dapchil Yobe State. We don’t want this to be another case of the Chibok girls, who majority of them haven’t returned to us. Women have an important role to play in our society and the best way to make sure they fulfill this role is by ensuring their safety. We don’t want our girls to be afraid of going to school because education is key neither do we want our women to be use as shield by terrorist group. That is not the life we want for them, some of these girls are leaders, inventors, business moguls and influential people of tomorrow and making sure they return home to us is the first step in transforming their lives. Our girls are the women of tomorrow and i hope the government take swift action in bringing back all our girls home. Once again i say happy International Women’s Day.
